ARE YOU PREGNANT AND WANTING TO PREPARE FOR FEEDING BEFORE CHALLENGES START?

Breastfeeding your baby is often talked about as something that should come naturally, yet most parents are flooded with advice that’s conflicting, incomplete, or overly simplified. Hospital-based classes can be helpful, but they’re often limited by time and designed to cover the basics for a wide audience, not the specific needs of you and your baby. You might have talked to your friends, watched videos, or read countless posts and still feel unsure about what breastfeeding will actually look like once your baby arrives.

Setting up care with an IBCLC before birth allows you to ask real questions, understand what’s normal versus what needs support, and create a feeding plan that feels realistic and reassuring. Even more important, support continues during those vital first few months, which is a time of rapid change for babies and families. Challenges often evolve as feeding patterns, milk supply, and your baby’s skills develop. Ongoing, personalized care during this period means you’re not left navigating those changes on your own. Instead of scrambling for help or performing 3am Google searches, you have consistent support to help you adjust, troubleshoot, and build confidence as you go.
Concierge care is right for you if:
  • You want expert guidance before questions or challenges arise
  • You want to feel confident you’re getting accurate, evidence-based support from the beginning
  • You want someone to notice subtle problems before they become bigger issues
  • You value clear plans, clinical experience, and continuity of care
  • You want calm, personalized support instead of quick tips or generic advice
  • You value having one experienced provider who knows your goals and can guide you as feeding evolves

You don’t need to anticipate problems to benefit from expert care. Many families choose this support simply to start off feeling prepared and confident.

Prenatal support + 12 weeks of care

Prenatal office visit
We’ll walk through a personalized breastfeeding “class,” review pump flange sizing, and create an immediate postpartum feeding plan that fits your goals. You’ll also have text support from this visit until your baby arrives to ask all those last minute questions.
Three early postpartum home visits
I’ll come to you in those early days to assess feeding, help with latch and positioning, and make sure things are on track.
  • Sample Visit One (4 days old): Work on latch and positioning techniques, ensure milk is coming in and baby is getting enough to eat, weight check for baby, review normal newborn expectations
  • Sample Visit Two (10 days old): Reassess latch and troubleshoot any issues, assess baby's milk transfer, ensure feeding plan feels sustainable for your family, weight check for baby
  • Sample Visit Three (3 weeks old): Discuss any questions or concerns, ongoing assessment of baby's oral function and feeding skills, pumping/bottle introduction guidance, weight check for baby
Two postpartum office visits
Ongoing follow ups to assess progress, adjust the plan, and support you through growth spurts, challenges, and transitions, like returning to work.
  • Sample Visit One (6 weeks old): assessment of pumping, bottle feeding evaluation, adjusting care plan as baby grows and feeding needs change, address any specific challenges, developmental assessment (tummy time, etc)
  • Sample Visit Two (9 weeks old): plan for return to work, reassessment of baby's feeding progress and growth, support transitions or changing goals
Up To Two Virtual Visits
Perfect for quick check-ins or troubleshooting. Great for discussing things like milk supply, plans for returning to work and transitioning to daycare, preparing for introduction of solids, normal expectations for feeding an older infant, etc.

You can also convert virtual visits into additional office visits for a small fee.
